Jillian Nellie Hennely was born on 25 December 1968. She is an accomplished Canadian singer and actress with a notable contribution to American TV. Her work has received praise for her stellar performances on the American television show Law & Order in which she impressed viewers for three seasons playing the prosecutor Claire Kincaid, and Crossing Jordan for six seasons where she was the protagonist Jordan Cavanaugh. Hennessy has also showcased her skills in movies such as RoboCop 3 Most Wanted, Chutney Popcorn, and The Acting Class. She also wrote and directed these films. Hennessy started her acting career in 1988, alongside her sister in the role of twin call girls in the film Dead Ringers. In the year 1990, she was in a short stint on Broadway in the role of Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story. After that, she shifted into sci-fi and played Dr. Marie Lazarus (RoboCop 3) in 1993. Later that same year she became the assistant prosecutor Claire Kincaid in the hit NBC Crime Drama Law & Order. The three-season run in the role was a hit with viewers. Parker is a part of films and shows such as RED Fried Green Tomatoes Boys on the Side The West Wing Angels in America in which she was awarded a Golden Globe and an Emmy Award for Best Supporting actress. Parker is also the recipient of the 2001 Tony Award for Best Actress for her role in the Broadway production Proof.
